About The Position

The Accounting Intern is responsible for assisting the accounting department in recording, reporting and monitoring financial resources of the Foundation. The department's purpose is to protect, track, and report the private financial resources for the primary benefit of OSU.

Requirements

• In pursuit of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance, with a strong academic record.
• Strong reading comprehension and problem-solving capabilities.
• Must possess strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Ability to work effectively as a member of a team.
• Must adhere to strict confidentiality standards.
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and the ability to meet deadlines is required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• High ethical and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Export and format daily gift reports
• Prepare journal entries
• Review transfer requests
• Update monthly budget worksheets
• Prepare pledge review forms
• Export data for project management review
• Scanning of documents
• Research projects and reconciling excel worksheets
• Other projects and duties as assigned
