About The Position

BGM is seeking motivated, curious, and service-minded accounting students for its Summer 2028 Internship Program. This internship is designed to provide meaningful, hands-on experience and explore career paths in public accounting. Interns will work approximately 30 hours per week with schedule flexibility from May through August. The role involves contributing to real client work, gaining exposure to audit and tax, and receiving ongoing coaching and feedback. Successful interns may be considered for future opportunities based on performance, career goals, and business needs.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting.
  • Interested in gaining experience in public accounting.
  • Available to work approximately 20–30 hours per week during the internship.
  • Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Service-minded with strong interpersonal skills.
  • A strong verbal and written communicator.
  • Curious, dependable, and willing to learn.
  • Able to work from our Bloomington, Minnesota office during the internship.
  • Authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with audits, reviews, compilations, and other assurance engagements.
  • Support tax return preparation and other tax-related projects.
  • Collect and analyze client information and financial data.
  • Assist engagement teams with identifying issues and communicating findings.
  • Complete tax research and special projects as needed.
  • Gain exposure to clients across a variety of industries.
  • Work alongside team members at different levels of the Firm.
  • Build accounting and industry knowledge through hands-on experience, coaching, training, and collaboration.
