About The Position
The Do It Best/True Value Manufacturing Team is looking to employ a self-motivated, analytical summer intern that will be paid on an hourly basis. This successful candidate will be responsible for processing invoice requests, maintaining vendor records, and addressing varying functions with the Accounting Department, with a focus on Accounts Payable. The Accounting Intern may be able to use the work experience towards university/college credit.
Requirements
- Current college student
- Pursuing a degree in Accounting or related field
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Self-starter
- Ability to work independently
- Familiarity with basic Accounting principles
Responsibilities
- Track all accounts payable status requests daily and report monthly to supervisors.
- Handle incoming calls and correspondence efficiently.
- Audit vendor statements monthly, deduct outstanding credits, and review all collected balances due.
