About The Position

Performs various duties regarding Accounting including reconciliation, journal entries, and maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss or other financial activities within ICCU.

Requirements

• Currently working on a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• Knowledge of economic and accounting principles.
• Proficient in word processing and clerical skills.
• Excellent math skills and computer knowledge.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to always maintain the confidentiality of Credit Union and member records.
• A demonstrated cooperative and positive attitude toward members and other Credit Union staff.
• Accurate in balancing and account research.
• Be able to diagnose simple problems.
• Professional in appearance, attendance, quality, and quantity of work performed.
• Must be willing to comply with the Bank Secrecy Act and USA Patriot Act as implemented by ICCU.
• Perform tasks requiring manual dexterity (processing paperwork, filing, stapling, sorting, collating, typing, counting cash, etc.).
• Sit for extended periods of time.
• Lift 20-40 pounds of applicable supplies including but not limited to copy paper, cash drawers, marketing material, etc.
• Repetitive motion using wrists, hands, and fingers.
• Reach keyboards.
• Ability to operate basic office machines (calculator, computer, telephone, copy machine, fax machine, etc.).
• Must be eligible for membership at ICCU to obtain employment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records.
• Prepare Daily, Weekly, and Monthly reconciliations of general ledger and internal accounts.
• Process loan file maintenance for workout loans to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Other projects and duties as assigned.
