About The Position

At Tactile Medical, we specialize in developing at-home therapy devices to treat lymphedema, chronic venous insufficiency and respiratory illnesses. The Buyer II role is responsible for purchasing components, assemblies, and subcontracted manufacturing services throughout Tactile Medical’s supply chain. This role will also be responsible for data entry for new items and item transactions in NetSuite to support forecasted demand. Working closely with manufacturing partners and internal stakeholders, the Buyer II will maintain robust purchasing strategies and resolve supply chain challenges. The role requires participation in process improvements that enhance efficiency and performance across the supply network, aligning with organizational goals and evolving industry demands.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 2–5 years of experience in a Buyer/Planner role utilizing an ERP system within a manufacturing environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
  • Strong ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proven organizational skills with high attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Effective communicator with strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross‑functionally, manage conflict, and drive issues to resolution.
  • Customer‑focused mindset with flexibility and adaptability to changing business needs.
  • Analytical problem solver with sound judgment.
  • Team‑oriented professional with a high degree of flexibility.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • APICS/ASCM certification.
  • Experience in a regulated industry, preferably medical device manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Manage inventory levels across the supply chain to ensure uninterrupted support of production plans and forecasted demand.
  • Execute and reconcile material transactions accurately and on time, ensuring data integrity within the ERP system.
  • Partner cross‑functionally with Engineering, Quality, Production, and Suppliers to confirm material availability through monthly reconciliation and ongoing issue resolution.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report supplier spend and material metrics
  • Ensure pricing, terms, lead times, and contracts are adhered to by suppliers
  • Identify and support cost‑reduction opportunities aligned with sourcing strategies.
  • Procure inventory, non‑inventory, and commercial materials (including marketing and sales literature) as required to support business needs.
  • Lead and participate in supply chain meetings with internal and external stakeholders
  • Document, maintain, and update Standard Operating Procedures and work instructions.
  • Review and evaluate engineering and quality changes for supply impact through our quality management systems (Grand Avenue Software)
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable regulatory and quality requirements (including FDA, ISO 13485, and HIPAA, as applicable); train and mentor team members on supply chain processes.
  • Travel up to 5% as required.
