About The Position

This 10-week undergraduate summer internship is based at Lowe’s headquarters in Mooresville, North Carolina. The intern will gain hands-on experience supporting the financial operations of a Fortune 50 company and work alongside accounting and finance professionals to help ensure the accuracy, integrity, and transparency of financial reporting. The role offers exposure to large-scale financial data management, performance analysis, strategic decision-making, financial reporting, reconciliations, and other core accounting processes. The intern will also contribute to projects that support operational efficiency and financial accuracy across the business.

The program runs May 24 through July 30, 2027. Interns work on practical projects and gain experience in real-world business operations. Lowe’s describes its Mooresville corporate office as a collaborative workplace with amenities including walking areas, food and coffee, a workout facility, and access to check-ups.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Expected graduation date of December 2027 or May 2028.

• Relevant internship or accounting-related experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with financial reporting, reconciliations, and preparation of accounting documentation.
• Support month-end and quarter-end close activities alongside accounting teams.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities for improved efficiency.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to understand how accounting supports broader business strategy.
• Gain exposure to internal controls, compliance requirements, and corporate accounting practices.
• Use financial systems and tools to organize, track, and report accounting information.
