About The Position

They are seeking an Accounting & Finance Specialist to manage the day-to-day financial operations. This role involves more than just bookkeeping; it requires understanding what the numbers mean for the business and working closely with leadership, clinical staff, vendors, and department leads. The specialist will ensure the financial picture is accurate and current to support confident decision-making.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
3+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or finance experience.
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online or similar accounting software.
Strong Excel skills, used for problem-solving.
Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounting.
Proactive and resourceful approach to finding information.
Comfortable communicating numbers to individuals without financial expertise.
High integrity and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.

Nice To Haves

Experience in healthcare or professional services is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage accounts payable, including vendor invoices, payment processing, aging reports, and dispute resolution.
Oversee accounts receivable, including patient and payer payments, cash application, and collections follow-up.
Process payroll accurately and on time.
Provide purchasing support, including purchase order management, vendor reconciliation, and coordination with inventory processes.
Execute month-end and year-end close procedures, including reconciliations, schedules, and reporting.
Ensure expense compliance by reviewing and processing reimbursements against policy.
Generate recurring financial reports and schedules for leadership.
Provide organized records and responsive support for audits.
Manage the implementation of new financial systems and own data migration.
Identify and flag process inefficiencies as the company grows.
