About The Position

Fair-Rite Products Corp., a global leader in ferrite technology and manufacturing, is seeking a motivated Accounting & Finance Intern to join our team and gain hands-on exposure to the financial side of a dynamic manufacturing organization.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or a recent graduate
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally
- Eagerness to learn and contribute in a collaborative environment
Responsibilities
- Assist with accounts payable, including reviewing invoices for proper documentation, matching invoices to purchase orders/receipts, and preparing items for payment.
- Assist with accounts receivable, including applying customer payments, researching discrepancies, and reviewing aging reports.
- Perform account reconciliations, including selected general ledger accounts, bank accounts, credit cards, and other balance-sheet accounts.
- Assist with month-end closing activities, including preparing supporting schedules and gathering documentation for journal entries.
- Review and organize supporting documentation for financial transactions to ensure records are complete and properly maintained.
- Assist with inventory accounting, including reviewing inventory transactions, cycle-count results, adjustments, and supporting documentation.
- Gain exposure to manufacturing cost accounting, including material costs, labor, overhead, variances, and product costing.
- Assist with the preparation and analysis of financial reports, spreadsheets, and management schedules.
- Perform data analysis in Excel, including reconciliations, comparisons, trend analysis, and identification of unusual transactions or variances.
