The Accounting & Finance Intern will support the Finance team by assisting with accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and business analysis activities. This position provides hands-on experience in a dynamic aerospace and technology environment, allowing the intern to develop practical accounting and finance skills while contributing to the organization's financial processes and strategic decision-making.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion and professionalism.
- Eagerness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is required to perform the responsibilities of this role.
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future.

- Coursework in financial accounting, managerial accounting, corporate finance, economics, or related subjects.
- Experience with financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, or financial analysis.
- Familiarity with accounting systems, ERP platforms, or financial reporting tools.
- Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables, formulas, and data analysis functions.
- Previous internship, work experience, leadership activities, or academic projects related to accounting or finance.
- Interest in aerospace, technology, manufacturing, or government contracting industries.
Responsibilities
- Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, expense reporting, and other day-to-day accounting activities.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes, including account reconciliations and journal entry preparation.
- Assist with maintaining financial records, documentation, and supporting schedules.
- Compile, organize, and analyze financial data for reporting and business decision-making.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Assist with the preparation of financial reports, dashboards, and presentations.
- Conduct research and analysis to support finance, accounting, and operational initiatives.
- Help ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial information and support business objectives.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and special projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
