About The Position

Davidson & Company is seeking a Co-op student to join our Private Enterprise & Tax practice for a four-month period starting January 2027 in our Calgary office. Your responsibilities as a Co-op student, working in the Private Enterprise and Tax practice will include: Develop technical skills in compilations, reviews, bookkeeping, and tax for privately held companies in various industries. Prepare tax returns and compute taxes owing for corporate, personal, and other tax returns, applying knowledge of ASPE and related legislation. Develop and apply knowledge of the Canadian Income Tax Act and corporate tax compliance, preparing tax returns and computing taxes for various entities. Utilize various tools and software throughout tax engagements, collaborating with the engagement team to build strong relationships.

Requirements

Currently working towards completion of the prerequisites for admission into the CPA PEP with the intention to pursue the CPA designation are preferred
Previous accounting related office experience is considered an asset
Customer service and/or client service experience is considered an asset
