About The Position

The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for performing various administrative and accounting tasks to support the overall accounting cycle, primarily performing bank reconciliations, processing accounts payable invoices, and purchase orders. Those tasks will require a high level of attention to detail and organizational skills. This is a full-time position.

Requirements

  • Intermediate level experience with Microsoft 365 Office Suite, emphasis with Excel
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
  • At least 2 years’ experience
  • Successful candidate values the need to support others, importance of the “details” and getting it right the first time.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent with 1 year of administrative office experience.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with the public, employees, customers, and trade partners.
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation and at least 3 years of driving history (per insurance requirements).

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree with experience working in an office environment, preferably an Accounting degree
  • Experience working within the architectural, engineering or construction industry.
  • QuickBooks Enterprise (Intermediate), Excel, PDF Editing, Smartsheet, MS Sharepoint.
  • Notary Public and/or willingness to pursue.

Responsibilities

  • Process accounts payable, including scanning, coding, posting and payment
  • Perform bank and credit card reconciliations for all accounts by matching related statement with company records.
  • Post various financial transactions, including journal entries, purchase orders, electronic payments and deposits
  • Organize and maintain financial records in proper filing electronic systems.
  • Assist with vendor W9 and COI collection, updates, and review
  • Backup front desk with answering phone calls, greeting visitors, receiving deliveries and errands, as needed.
  • Various out-of-office errands including the post office (daily), bank, supply store, occasional lunch pickup and other errands as needed.
