About The Position

Join Team AMT! Now hiring for a part-time Accounting Clerk in our Finance Department in our Peoria Office! Advanced Medical Transport (AMT) is the premier provider of emergency and scheduled ambulance services in Central and Western Illinois, as well as parts of Iowa. AMT is a private, not-for-profit organization operated for community benefit. The Accounting Clerk role at AMT is responsible for supporting the department with a variety of accounting and clerical tasks. It is essential for this role to ensure accurate financial recordkeeping, assistance with transactions, and maintaining organized financial documents.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED equivalent
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good organizational and time management skills
Ability to handle confidential information responsibly

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or clerical work preferred
Basic understanding of accounting principles preferred

Responsibilities

Process accounts payable transactions, including invoice entry and payment processing
Maintain and update financial records, databases, and filing systems
Assist with payroll processing and timesheet verification
Communicate with vendors, clients, and internal departments regarding financial matters
Perform general office duties such as filing, data entry, and responding to internal inquiries
