About The Position

Source Office & Technology is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team. This position is a great opportunity for someone looking to start a career in accounting, finance, or business operations. We are willing to train the right candidate and provide hands-on experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, customer account maintenance, and reporting.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to learn new systems and processes
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a strong work ethic

Nice To Haves

Associate degree is a plus, but not required
Previous office, customer service, administrative, retail, banking, or accounting experience is helpful, but not required
Proficiency in Microsoft 365, particularly Excel, is preferred

Responsibilities

Monitor inboxes and phone lines; respond to inquiries with professionalism and excellent customer service
Manage and upload invoices to customer platforms such as Fieldglass, Ariba, Oracle, and OpenInvoice
Create and review accounts receivable aging reports and assist with customer payment follow-up
Work with customers and sales representatives to help resolve account questions and maintain accurate accuracy
Assist accounts payable, including entering vendor invoices and preparing scheduled payments
Complete vendor setup documentation and credit reference requests
Assist with customer account maintenance and credit reviews
Process account adjustments with accuracy and attention to detail
Cover cash posting duties as needed
Assist with other accounting tasks and special projects as assigned
