About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated accounting clerk to provide support to our finance team, with a focus on vendor management, expense reporting, and administrative finance functions. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a working knowledge of finance operations, and the ability to communicate effectively with both internal stakeholders and external vendors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • 1–3 years of accounting experience preferred (internship experience considered).
  • Experience with ERP/accounting software (SAP preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process accounts payable transactions, including reviewing invoices, matching purchase orders, obtaining approvals, and ensuring timely vendor payments.
  • Assist with accounts receivable activities, customer invoicing, payment application, collections support, and account reconciliations.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities by preparing journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts, maintaining financial records, and assisting with financial reporting.
  • Review employee expense reports for compliance with company policies, process reimbursements, and maintain supporting documentation.
  • Assist with account reconciliations, fixed asset tracking, accruals, prepaid expenses, and other general accounting functions.
  • Communicate with internal departments, employees, and external vendors to resolve invoice, payment, and accounting-related questions.
  • Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Support audits by preparing schedules, gathering documentation, and responding to auditor requests.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.
  • Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned.
