About The Position

The Global Payments team is responsible for all company payables and disbursements worldwide. The Accounting Clerk, Real Estate supports lease-related payment operations by managing a portfolio of stores, auditing landlord charges, and ensuring accurate, timely payments in alignment with lease terms. This role partners closely with internal teams and external landlords to drive accuracy, resolve issues, and deliver cost savings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 2+ years of experience in Accounting Operations or a related role
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to review and interpret lease or contract terms
  • Ability to manage a high-volume workload with competing priorities
  • Effective communication skills with internal and external partners
  • Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables)
  • Experience with lease or real estate systems (CoStar preferred); invoice auditing experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Manage payment activity for an assigned store portfolio (domestic & international)
  • Audit landlord invoices against lease terms; resolve discrepancies and disputes
  • Process landlord payments and support weekly/monthly rent runs
  • Maintain lease data in CoStar for new stores and renewals
  • Track savings identified through invoice audit reviews
  • Partner with landlords on billing questions and outstanding balances
  • Support store lifecycle activities (openings, renewals, closures)
  • Perform basic variance analysis and investigate unusual activity
  • Collaborate with internal partners (Finance, Accounting, Legal, Tax)
  • Maintain accurate vendor records and support ad hoc requests
