About The Position

Alaska Industrial Hardware, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking qualified applicants for “Accounting Clerk I” to perform Accounts Receivable processing and other accounting tasks in Anchorage, Alaska. This position’s role is to enter, post and reconcile batches, process credit applications, take payments, maintain cash receipts journal, and update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in an Accounts Receivable or Credit/Collections role
  • AA degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Economics
  • Infor ERP experience

Responsibilities

  • Contact clients to help resolve payment issues; assist in setting up payments.
  • Present information, as requested to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department, and other stakeholders.
  • Perform a variety of basic accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures, including general accounting tasks.
  • Communicate, reinforce, and support the values, culture, and mission of the organization.
  • Support the Accounting department by completing administrative tasks, such as mail distribution.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Controller.
