About The Position

A profitable, family-run, growing group of companies in the Industrial Packaging and Distribution space is seeking an Accounting Associate. This role supports day-to-day accounting operations across multiple divisions, working closely with the Controller and Finance team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and structure in a high-volume environment. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in clean books, strong processes, and getting things right the first time. The company operates a lean, high-output finance team where execution matters, and fosters a practical, no-politics, get-it-done culture.

Requirements

• 2+ years of general accounting experience (AP/AR) at a professional level in a corporate environment
• Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals (GAAP)
• Experience supporting the month-end close
• Strong experience with GL accounting, reconciliations, and journal entries
• Support for month-end close and financial reporting
• Experience working with high-volume transactions (AP/AR, invoicing, payments)
• Ability to maintain accuracy and organization under pressure
• Familiarity with ERP systems (Epicor Prophet 21 or similar preferred)
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a product-based or distribution environment is preferred
• Experience with inventory accounting
• Exposure to multi-entity environments
• Working toward CPA designation

Responsibilities
