About The Position

The Accounting Associate position is responsible for providing timely and accurate financial information to management, adhering to financial regulations and accounting standards, assisting in budget development, and coordinating accounts payable processes. The role requires effective communication, problem-solving skills, adaptability, teamwork, and proficiency in technology and financial expertise.

Requirements

  • Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills when engaging with customers and employees, ensuring clarity, understanding, and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Actively involved in developing solutions that meet the evolving needs of both customers and employees, fostering innovation and efficiency.
  • Highly flexible in managing changing workloads, self-motivated, and capable of maintaining productivity in dynamic environments.
  • A strong team player who treats all staff, customers, shareholders and prospects with respect.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with mastery in Excel and other applicable software to support efficient business operations and decision-making.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, with a strong working knowledge of accounting principles, financial administration, and the understanding of effective financial controls.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or accounting (mandatory)
  • Must be able to sit for periods greater than 45 minutes at a time.
  • Must be able to stand for periods greater than 30 minutes at a time.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to use computer monitors for periods greater than 45 minutes at a time.
  • Must be able to perform basic typing functions.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 2 years accounting experience (desired)

Responsibilities

  • Provide timely and accurate financial information to management.
  • Adhere to financial regulations, accounting standards, and reporting requirements to maintain compliance with federal and state laws.
  • Assist in the development of the Bank and Bank Holding Company's budget.
  • Coordinate processing and payment of invoices, management of the vendor file and related tax reporting.
