About The Position

This position performs a wide range of bookkeeping and administrative activities. The individual must be professional, have a strong work ethic, high-level of confidentiality, be highly organized and have the ability to work autonomously as well as in a team.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Accounting or Business Management preferred
  • Previous bookkeeping experience is required if no degree
  • Must have exceptional PC knowledge including the ability to effectively use QuickBooks, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other internal software systems
  • Ability to type at least 50 WPM without compromising accuracy
  • Must have the ability to work quickly and accurately to meet deadlines
  • Must have excellent attention to detail and good concentration skills
  • Must maintain confidentiality
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively with others (written and oral)
  • Must exhibit punctuality and low absenteeism
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

  • Perform general A/R functions including but not limited to the timely distribution of customer statements/invoices, ensure receivables are collected and posted promptly, monitor aging reports and make collection calls as needed
  • Perform general A/P functions including but not limited to entering and paying vendor invoices in a timely fashion
  • Maintain chart of accounts
  • Prepare, collect and ensure accuracy on all expense reports
  • Ensure that monthly mileage reports are accurate and collected promptly
  • Maintain an orderly accounting filing system
  • Open, sort and route incoming mail, and prepare outgoing mail
  • Purchase office supplies as authorized by management
  • Data entry as needed
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to management as requested
