Accounting Assistant
About The Position
The Accounting Clerk works closely with the Controller and Finance and Human Resources teams in performing general accounting tasks for the day to day operations in the office. Micro Precision is a precision manufacturing machine shop supporting national defense and homeland security customers for over 40 years. Requirements
- US Citizenship is required per DoD requirements

- Analytical ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and in the resolution of accounting issues.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Math skills and knowledge.
- Proficient in accounting and tax preparation software.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that supplier invoices are processed in a timely manner.
- Ensure that customer invoices and customer payments are processed promptly.
- Contact customers for past due payments.
- Ensure that periodic bank reconciliations are completed.
- Maintain an orderly accounting filing system.
- Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions.
