We are now seeking a diligent and organised Accounting Assistant to join our team on a Full-Time basis in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our finance department, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. Requirements

• Proven experience in an accounting or finance-related role.
• A strong understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially MS Excel.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Hands-on experience with accounting software is highly desirable.
• A relevant qualification in accounting or finance is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the management of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Processing and verifying invoices, expense claims, and payment requests.
• Performing daily data entry of financial transactions into our accounting system.
• Reconciling bank statements and resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Assisting in the preparation of financial reports, such as balance sheets and income statements.
• Supporting the finance team with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Maintaining accurate and organised financial files and records.
• Liaising with internal departments and external partners regarding financial enquiries.
