About The Position

Coastal Conservation Association Florida (CCA Florida) is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounting Assistant to join our team. This part-time position (20 - 30 hours per week) plays an important role in supporting the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory tracking, data entry, deposits, and record management. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, accurate, and comfortable working with multiple departments to ensure financial and inventory records remain current and reliable. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional looking to contribute to a mission-driven nonprofit organization dedicated to conserving Florida’s marine resources. While the position is currently part-time, there is potential for it to grow into a full-time role as organizational needs evolve. Candidates with accounting experience, strong Microsoft Excel skills, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

• Accounting: 1 year (Required)
• Ability to maintain confidentiality is critical.
• Microsoft Excel experience.

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent training/experience in accounting is strongly preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in an administrative role or part-time accounting role.

Responsibilities

• Processing of accounts payable and receivable.
• Enter inventory data (ingoing and outgoing).
• Maintain accurate inventory data.
• Accurately inputs deposit and payment information into the accounting system.
• Responsible for filing deposits and payments.
• Assists with and makes recommendations for the inventory control system.
• Responsible for assisting with scanning, copying and digitizing accounting files.
• Assists Controller with other accounting related responsibilities, as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
