About The Position

A leading Japanese food manufacturer is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant with 4 years of experience in finance and accounting. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience across a wide range of accounting functions and supports daily operations while ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

Requirements

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
4 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting is preferred
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and GAAP
Experience with accounting systems such as SAP and QuickBooks
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Business-level proficiency in English and Japanese (both written and verbal)

Responsibilities

Prepare and post journal entries in a timely and accurate manner
Perform monthly bank and account reconciliations
Assist in the preparation of GAAP-compliant financial statements
Conduct financial analysis to support business decision-making
Provide support during internal and external audits
Assist with budget preparation, monitoring, and variance analysis
Perform profitability analysis and identify cost-saving opportunities
Handle day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
Other duties may be assigned as needed.
