About The Position

As an Accounting Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the financial operations and ensuring the smooth functioning of our accounting department. You will work closely with the club's finance team to maintain accurate financial records, process transactions, and assist in various accounting tasks.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
  • Discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and demanding schedules.
  • Professionalism, poise, and a positive attitude, even in high-pressure situations.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Two years in a similar position within a finance or accounting team

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of the country club industry or hospitality sector (preferred, not required).
  • Knowledge and passion for golf, golf course operations, or the golf industry (preferred, not required).
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred, though relevant work experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Process invoices, verify accuracy, and ensure timely payments to vendors.
  • Maintain organized records of accounts payable transactions.
  • Assist in resolving any billing discrepancies or issues with suppliers.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • File and prepare check run
  • Monthly vendor reconciliations
  • Post daily charge batches
  • Print daily credit card batches from ETS
  • Inputs F&B inventory& checks prices/ item unity at end of each month
  • Ensure adherence to accounting policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Assist the finance team with ad-hoc administrative tasks and special projects.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive financial information.
  • All other duties as assigned by the Controller within a reasonable scope of the position.
