FTE: 1.0, Shift: Day, Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00 - 3:30 Position Summary The Cash Posting Accounting Assistant works mainly with operating revenue, performing basic accounting functions for cash posting. This position works under direct supervision. Work situations are routine requiring limited decision-making. Internal contacts are basically within the work group, but also include staff and management throughout the organization. External contacts are limited in nature and consist of banks and outside agencies.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent
Minimum three (3) years clerical experience in a financial setting preferred, post-high school education may be substituted for clerical experience
Experience with personal computers

Responsibilities

Provides support and assistance to the Accountants as required
Prepares journal entries and adjustments in general and subsidiary ledgers
Prepares or assists management and accountants in preparing operating reports
Prepares monthly reconciliations and analyses of general ledger accounts
Maintains computerized spreadsheets to produce reconciliations
Prepares sundry accounts receivable billings
Responsible for the archiving of financial documents
Contributes to the success of the organization, keeping current on new developments within the MultiCare system, and by performing other duties as needed or assigned
