About The Position

HarrisLoftus, PLLC is a fast-growing law firm representing national clients across multiple states. We partner with financial institutions and other creditors to resolve consumer and commercial debt through professional, compliant, and results-driven legal processes. We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will support the accounting department with day-to-day financial operations and ensure accurate record-keeping in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
Familiarity with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes
Reliability and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to multitask and prioritize competing deadlines
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information
Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
Ability to work overtime as required

Nice To Haves

Prior experience with Quickbooks
Prior experience in an accounting or administrative support role

Responsibilities

Process daily Accounts Receivable check payments and apply postings accurately
Enter Accounts Payable invoices into the accounting system, verifying coding and cost allocations
Assist with month-end close processes
Resolve payment and invoice discrepancies on behalf of the company and clients
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
Provide administrative and accounting support as assigned
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
