About The Position

The Accounting and Financial Systems Analyst position is responsible for assisting the Sr. Accounting and Financial Systems Analyst and the Manager of Financial Reporting and Analytics on accounting process improvement projects and SAP financial system projects. This position will assist with accounting processes, month-end processing, and financial reporting. The position will also develop skills to serve as the internal expert on Brand Funding and other processes to support the business.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience with SAP FI-GL and FI-CO modules or other ERP systems and/or with SQL, HANA, and/or Tableau or other relevant experience
• Expert in MS Excel
• Foundational accounting knowledge and experience with financial close and reporting process
• Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
• Excellent communication, planning, and organization skills
• Possess a high degree of self-motivation and initiative
• Capable of multi-tasking under high pressure
• Bachelor’s degree (4 years)
• Knowledge acquired through 3 to up to 5 years of work experience

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Financial Information Systems

Responsibilities

• Assists with routine financial accounting processes including Accounting and Finance master data creation and maintenance, journal entries, account analysis, and bank reconciliations
• Compiles and creates Accounting and Finance reports and maintains existing reports to support business needs
• Assists management on project work, process development, and process improvement opportunities
• Assists in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end profitability reporting and variance analysis by collecting, reviewing business performance and financial information; summarizing financial status
• Serves as a liaison for special projects outside of Commercial Finance in coordination with other functions across the organization.
• Performs other duties as assigned
