About The Position

NCQA is hiring an Accounting Analyst with primary responsibility for coordinating the accounts payable function. The role ensures incoming payables—including invoices, travel credit cards, and other reimbursements—are properly reviewed, allocated, coded, approved, entered, and paid according to terms. The analyst also prepares reports as needed, including annual 1099 and 1096 Forms, and supports other accounting functions as required.

Requirements

• Associate degree in a business-related field, or a combination of education and experience demonstrating the necessary skills and abilities.
• 3–5+ years of accounting experience.
• Computer literacy in Excel.
• Strong math skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of accounting and spreadsheet software.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Preferred knowledge of Oracle (NetSuite), Unanet, and PN3 systems.

Responsibilities

• Review payable vouchers approved by Program Managers for accuracy and compliance with NCQA policies.
• Prioritize invoices for payment based on established parameters and prepare checks, ACH payments, and wires as needed.
• Maintain accounts payable data and tracking in electronic databases, including NetSuite, Unanet, and PN3.
• Maintain accounts payable records and coordinate the AP month-end closing process.
• Audit data to ensure accuracy.
• Coordinate accounting for American Express and Truist credit cards and ensure accurate, timely payment.
• Prepare annual 1099 and 1096 reporting, audit the data, and prepare the report.
• Support other accounting functions as needed, which may include the monthly forecast process, annual budget process, systems implementations, and processing cash receipts.
