About The Position

Assist with accounting and analytical activities associated with maintaining general ledger accounts and developing financial statements and reports. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and regular forecasts and projections. This position will be based out of The US Steel Tower in Pittsburgh, PA. This position will have the potential to work from home with a hybrid schedule which includes some days in office per week and some days at home per week.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related business field required.
• OR High School Diploma/GED and two years of related work experience.
• Act 34

Nice To Haves

• Microsoft Office spreadsheet application and PeopleSoft General Ledger proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in information gathering for various required management reports.
• Create accounting analytics for internal and external reporting requirements.
• Prepare general ledger account reconciliations for designated accounts. Propose correcting entries.
• Interpret financial transactions and events for users who must make economic or business decisions.
• Assist in administrative tasks or special projects as needed.
• Prepare and post basic monthly journal entries.
