About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Accounting Administrator. In this role, you will be responsible for various functions efficiently while also providing accounting support to the Plant Controller. These responsibilities could include payroll, time & attendance, and/or cost/yield/inventory clerk duties. Additionally, you may oversee employee supply processes and assist in various plant management tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years office experience required.
  • 3+ years payroll experience preferred.
  • Requires basic computer skills including using a Tyson Business Computer System as well as Microsoft Office & Excel, SAP Preferred.
  • Requires written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of management.
  • Work activities are variable and require judgment to complete tasks such as setting priorities, evaluating results, and coordinating with others.
  • Assignments are defined and the approach to be taken is usually determined in coordination with others.
  • Internal candidates must have no more than 6 attendance points and no written warnings within the last 6 months.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all outstanding supplier, customer, and third-party vendor obligations.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
  • Process, send, and store all bank deposits and invoices.
  • Review and reconcile accounts.
  • Prepare and process payroll for employees accurately and on time.
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Calculate wages, benefits, tax deductions, and other payroll-related items.
  • Handle payroll inquiries and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
  • Backup Time and Attendance responsibilities
  • Prepare financial statements and reports.
  • Assist with budget preparation and financial planning.
  • Document and manage financial transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  • Maintain updated records of invoices, receipts, and payroll documents.
  • Process payments to external partners.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Support internal and external audits as needed.
