About The Position

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounting Administrative Assistant to join our Accounting team. This role plays a key part in supporting daily financial operations and maintaining accurate financial records in a fast-paced legal environment. The Accounting Administrative Assistant is responsible for performing routine accounting and administrative functions to support the firm’s financial operations. This role assists with data entry, transaction processing, reconciliations, and preparation of basic accounting reports while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general office software.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional communication and teamwork skills.

  • Prior experience in an accounting, finance, or administrative role preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine accounting activities including data entry and maintenance of general ledger records.
  • Review, code, and verify transactions such as billings, invoices, checks, and journal entries.
  • Assist with preparing accounting statements and internal financial reports.
  • Complete moderately complex calculations using spreadsheets and accounting software.
  • Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts on a regular basis.
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records in accordance with firm policies and accounting standards.
  • Support the Accounting team with audits, reporting, and special projects as needed.
  • Ensure confidentiality and compliance with internal controls and firm procedures.
