About The Position

The initial assignment for this Adjunct Faculty position will include teaching, course and/or curriculum development, and involvement on College and University committees and/or initiatives, along with other assigned duties. Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) is a comprehensive university focused on quality education, research, and service. All Faculty members are expected to be excellent teachers, adaptable to evolving professional needs, dedicated to innovative instruction for improved student learning, committed to effective use of technology including distance learning, engaged in scholarly activities as appropriate, and provide service to the College, University, and Community. Teaching assignments may take place on the main campus or at various off-campus sites within the region. Typical duties specifically involve teaching Accounting courses within the Lutgert College of Business, in addition to other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Accounting from an AACSB accredited program or equivalent accreditation with 18 graduate hours in Accounting

Nice To Haves

  • Ph.D. in Accounting from an AACSB accredited institution
  • Professional certification
  • Experience teaching at the university level

Responsibilities

  • Teach Accounting courses in the Lutgert College of Business
  • Engage in course and/or curriculum development
