About The Position

STADCO Precision is seeking an Accountant to take ownership of its accounting function end to end. The role manages the general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, monthly close, and reconciliations, and coordinates payroll and tax work with outside partners. It is a high-trust, high-visibility position requiring sound technical skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to communicate with leadership, vendors, customers, and outside advisors. The position is located in Fairborn, Ohio, is full-time, and reports to the President & CEO.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional experience as an Accountant, including hands-on general ledger experience.
Strong working knowledge of GAAP and accounting procedures.
Proficiency in MS Excel.
Experience with payroll processing in a payroll system; the company uses Paycor.
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a manufacturing or job-shop environment.
Familiarity with manufacturing ERP systems such as JobBoss2 or E2.

Responsibilities

Own the general ledger and ensure transactions are accurately recorded and categorized.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including preparing and reviewing invoices, following up on collections, and making vendor payments.
Manage income and expense accounts.
Perform bank, AP, and AR reconciliations and promptly resolve discrepancies.
Lead monthly and annual close processes and deliver timely, accurate financial statements.
Prepare and maintain the balance sheet and profit and loss statement.
Prepare budgets and forecasts and provide analysis to support management decisions.
Oversee outsourced payroll by reviewing each payroll run, initiating changes, and maintaining accurate records.
Work with the outside accounting firm on reporting and tax filings and provide requested support.
Ensure compliance with GAAP, company financial policies, and applicable regulations.
Maintain strong internal controls and well-organized documentation.
