About The Position

The Accountant supports the organization’s efforts to stay on budget and on schedule by understanding and tracking show expenses. As part of the Finance team, the Accountant performs daily accounting tasks and provides timely information to support key decision-making. The position is part-time at 32 hours per week, exempt, benefits eligible, and hybrid after the first 90 days.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or a related field, and/or relevant accounting or bookkeeping experience.
• Experience with accounts payable, general ledger and project account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through, with the ability to prioritize and manage a high volume of work without sacrificing accuracy.
• Self-motivated and dependable, with a proactive approach to solving problems and meeting deadlines.
• Comfortable working with accounting software, cloud-based platforms, and automation tools.
• Proficiency with Financial Edge or similar general ledger software and Ramp, Bill.com, or comparable accounts payable systems.
• Working knowledge of GAAP.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments.

Responsibilities

• Review, code, and process accounts payable invoices and payments, including year-end 1099 processing.
• Collect and reconcile event settlements, show expenses, and actuals.
• Track show expenses against budgets and prepare timely reports for department managers.
• Reconcile general ledger and project accounts and assist with month-end and year-end accounting.
• Maintain accurate financial records, meet deadlines, and identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
