The SR400 Express Lanes Project is a transformative $4.6 billion infrastructure initiative led by SR400 Constructors, a 50/50 joint venture between Flatiron Dragados and ACCIONA. Commissioned by the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) and Georgia State Road and Tollway Authority (SRTA), the project will add two 16-mile express lanes from Sandy Springs MARTA Station (Exit 5) to McFarland (Exit 12), enhancing mobility along one of Georgia’s busiest corridors. With a peak workforce of over 500, the project also includes dedicated bus rapid transit stations and significant improvements to the corridor. Construction began in late 2022, with substantial completion anticipated in 2031. The Accountant supports day-to-day project accounting activities by preparing journal entries, reconciling cost reports, and assisting in the accuracy of project pay forms. This position supports subcontractor insurance and bond tracking, assists with month-end close processes and budget updates, and helps maintain cost codes aligned with project needs. The role also supports field timekeeping, certified payroll, equipment cost tracking, and onsite invoice processing, working closely with project teams, vendors, and subcontractors. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a solid foundation in construction accounting.

Requirements

• 3+ years of construction field accounting experience or relevant training preferred
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of construction project accounting
• Ability to support one or more project teams with varying levels of complexity
• Strong organization skills and attention to detail
• Effective time management and task prioritization skills
• Verbal and written communication skills
• Developing analytical skills
• Demonstrates accountability for assigned tasks and seeks guidance when needed

Responsibilities

• Prepares project journal entries and reconciles cost reports for one or more projects.
• Compiles and analyzes project pay forms to meet deadlines and ensure accuracy.
• Tracks insurance and bond information for all subcontractors.
• Assists in month end closing, budget rearrangements, and budge revisions as directed by project team.
• Sets up cost codes and cost types for project needs.
• Supports field personnel timecard entry, certified payroll and reporting as needed.
• Enter equipment time entry and reconcile equipment accruals for project needs.
• Supports accounts payable and onsite invoice entry to track project expenses and payments.
• Works with project personnel to expedite payment and resolve issues.
• Acts as liaison between project team and vendors or subcontractor accounting teams.
• Maintains knowledge of Company’s values and strategic plan.
• Supports published corporate policies.
• Perform additional assignments per management’s direction.
