About The Position

The Accountant is responsible for daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, vendor management, journal entries, and account reconciliations. The role supports month-end closing activities, fixed asset and lease accounting, expense reviews, and state and local tax filings. The Accountant works with internal and external parties on accounting projects and supports audit and reporting preparation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of accounts payable experience or general accounting experience.
• Thorough knowledge of basic accounting principles and accounts payable functions and procedures.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, including during deadline periods.
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• General Microsoft Office knowledge and proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUP and PivotTables.
• High attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Basic accounting knowledge.
• Ethical conduct.
• Teamwork skills.

Nice To Haves

• Sage or SAP experience is highly preferred.
• Bilingual English and Korean skills are preferred.
• Experience with Certify or SAP Concur is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Obtain appropriate information and create vendors in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Verify, classify, review, and process vendor invoices.
• Identify discrepancies between vendor statements and the ledger.
• Reconcile and review AP aging monthly and follow up on open AP invoices or credits.
• Perform bank account reconciliations and generate reconciliation reports.
• Coordinate with team members on month-end closing activities.
• Coordinate and communicate internally and externally on various projects.
• Assist with preparation of yearly 1099 forms.
• Assist with preparation of audits and reports.
• Perform other accounting-related tasks.
• Assist with fixed asset accounting, including asset capitalization, depreciation, and periodic reviews.
• Assist with lease accounting, including reviewing lease schedules, lease-related transactions, and reconciliations.
• Review operating expenses for accuracy, proper classification, and compliance with company accounting policies.
• Assist with preparation and filing of state and local tax returns and reports.
