About The Position

KUB is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Accountant to help maintain financial accuracy and integrity. The role includes general ledger responsibilities, preparing journal entries and financial statements, and turning complex financial data into clear, actionable reports. The Accountant may also contribute to cash management and investment- and bond-related initiatives, working with teams across the organization to support informed financial decisions. The position calls for a strong foundation in corporate or governmental accounting, analytical thinking, close attention to detail, and a commitment to customer service in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited four-year college or university.
• One to three years of experience in a related field.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, written, oral, and team skills.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently on projects in a timely manner.
• Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

• CPA, MBA, or an advanced degree.
• Three years of experience in a related field.
• Knowledge of the utility industry.
• Strong analytical and technological skills.
• Experience with accounting applications or enterprise software.
