About The Position

We're looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented accountant to help simplify and manage the recording of cash received from credit card transactions. This role is focused on accurately recording revenue related credit card receipts, untangling the current processes in place, and building clean reporting – all in preparation for reconciliation. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys the details of transactional accounting and isn't afraid of a high-volume, hands-on environment.

Requirements

5+ years of accounting experience (Credit Card Transactions, Revenue, AP, AR, Treasury)
Highly analytical – able to spot patterns, inconsistencies, and errors in high-volume data
Strong Excel skills required

Nice To Haves

Experience with revenue/cash receipts, POS reconciliation, or multi-location accounting a plus
Dynamics AX preferred

Responsibilities

Record daily cash receipts from credit card transactions across multiple locations
Simplify and standardize the current process for recording credit card revenue
Identify and document how many distinct processes currently exist across locations
Research and resolve discrepancies between recorded revenue and actual cash/credit card deposits
Build and maintain reports tracking daily/weekly credit card revenue, outstanding items, and exceptions
Partner with location managers/finance staff to ensure accurate and timely reporting of receipts
Prepare clean, organized transaction data for handoff to reconciliation
Recommend process improvements to simplify recording going forward
