Role Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Salt Lake City, Utah. This is an office-based position, and candidates who are able to work from our Salt Lake City office will be considered. The Accountant will support day-to-day accounting activities, maintain accurate financial records, assist with month-end close, and provide general accounting support to the business.
Requirements
- Minimum 1–3 years of accounting experience
- Experience with general accounting principles and financial transactions
- Experience with account reconciliations, journal entries, AP/AR, and general ledger activities
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas and spreadsheets
Nice To Haves
- Experience with accounting software or ERP systems preferred
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and timely accounting records and transactions
- Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
- Maintain the general ledger and supporting documentation
- Assist with financial reporting and analysis
- Support invoice processing, payments, and expense reporting
- Assist with payroll-related accounting activities as needed
- Maintain organized financial records and documentation
- Support audits and provide information requested by internal or external parties
- Identify discrepancies and work with internal teams to resolve accounting issues
- Perform other accounting duties as needed
