About The Position

We're looking for an Accountant to join our growing Finance team and play a key role in the company's monthly accounting close process. This is not a narrow, single-function accounting position. Instead, you'll gain exposure to a broad range of accounting responsibilities, including accounts payable, journal entries, reconciliations, reporting, analysis, and financial operations. As one of the fastest-growing companies in the country, our accounting team supports a dynamic and expanding business. That means you'll have the opportunity to take ownership of meaningful work, develop a deep understanding of how financial statements come together, and build skills that would take years to acquire in a larger organization. This role is ideal for an early-career accounting professional who wants hands-on experience, real responsibility, and a clear path for growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2 - 3 years of accounting experience, including exposure to month-end close processes.
  • Strong understanding of general accounting principles and financial statement preparation.
  • Experience working with ERP or accounting software such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar systems.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUPs, and financial data analysis.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a multi-location or high-growth company environment.
  • Experience with inventory accounting and cost accounting principles.
  • Experience preparing accruals, prepaids, and balance sheet reconciliations independently.
  • Experience with NetSuite strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with financial reporting, budgeting, and variance analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post journal entries, including payroll, commissions, revenue, accruals, allocations, and inventory-related entries.
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close activities.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain supporting schedules.
  • Prepare profit and loss schedules and supporting financial analyses.
  • Manage fixed asset and intangible asset accounting, including additions, disposals, depreciation, and amortization.
  • Process vendor invoices and maintain accounts payable records.
  • Manage vendor relationships and respond to payment inquiries.
  • Process company checks and assist with cash disbursement activities.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
  • Administer corporate credit card programs and reconcile transactions.
  • Support preparation of internal financial reports and management reporting packages.
  • Assist with debt reporting and lender reporting requirements.
  • Analyze financial data and provide insights to support business decision-making.
  • Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation.
  • Support state and local tax filings, business registrations, and related compliance requirements.
  • Ensure accounting records are maintained in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Assist with audit requests and supporting documentation as needed.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary plus annual performance bonus opportunity.
  • Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
