About The Position

MCI is seeking an Accountant to oversee accounting operations, including preparing financial reports, maintaining accurate accounting records, and managing financial controls and budgets. The role helps mitigate financial risks, ensure the accuracy of reported results, and maintain compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• 1–2 years of accrual-basis accounting experience, including accounts receivable, journal entries, month-end closing and reconciliation, and bank reconciliation.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to interact across all levels of the organization.
• Ability to plan, organize, and manage projects successfully.
• Detail-oriented, with excellent proofreading and editing skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, stay organized, prioritize, and work independently.
• Highly self-motivated and directed.
• Must be authorized to work in the country where the job is based.
• Must be willing to undergo a Level II background and/or security investigation, including fingerprinting, where applicable.
• Must be willing to submit to drug screening, except in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Perform accounts receivable functions, including invoicing, manual check application, aging reports, and account reconciliation.
• Enter routine journal entries and bank transactions.
• Enter accounts payable bills and credit card transactions as needed.
• Perform month-end closing and reconciliation.
• Reconcile, investigate, correct, and adjust accounting information.
• Perform bank reconciliation.
• Support department peers as needed.
