About The Position

This role accumulates accounting data, prepares accounting reports, and performs hourly payroll processes, along with other general accounting duties. The primary function involves managing cost accounting, journal entries, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and hourly payroll. The accountant will also interact with various departments and assist with SOX compliance, corporate reporting, and financial analysis.

Requirements

Minimum 2-year accounting degree.
Minimum of 5 years accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience using MS Office.
Basic knowledge of general office procedures.
Ability to operate routine office machines (fax, copier, calculator, etc.).
Strong organizational skills to plan and prioritize work independently.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.

Responsibilities

Perform cost accounting and standards revaluation process.
Analyze and prepare journal entries for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close.
Manage the accounts receivable process, including invoicing, verifying paperwork, posting in SAP, balancing sales, and finalizing.
Research and respond to accounting tickets and email requests regarding problem invoices, PODs, and pricing issues.
Maintain and update customer pricing information in SAP monthly.
Handle inter-company invoicing, related journal entries, and track all related transactions.
Manage the accounts payable process, ensuring accurate receipts and pricing with purchasing.
Research and respond to supplier email requests regarding problem invoices, PODs, and pricing issues.
Maintain and process hourly payroll, including preparing action forms for changes/new hires.
Verify, track, and balance all payroll hours (regular, overtime, sick leave, vacation, holidays, etc.).
Interact and communicate regularly with production supervisors, human resources, and the corporate accounting function.
Perform other general accounting duties as assigned, including SOX compliance, corporate reporting, and financial analysis.
