About The Position

The staff accountant will analyze complex financial records/reports and oversee a company's accounting operations. In this role, the staff accountant will regulate and authenticate financial transactions and maintain a ledger to ensure effectiveness and accuracy of accounting tasks. This role will balance accounts and confirm and verify bank statements on behalf of the company. Assisting in the order management process of the company is also expected. Training and mentoring team members will be a vital responsibility in this role. Experience using electronic ledger systems, needed.

Requirements

  • Must have at least 3 years’ experience in accounting or finance
  • Knows the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Demonstrates strong technical accounting skills
  • Shows strong leadership skills and manages a growing accounting team
  • Must be a US Citizen or US Person residing and working in the US

Nice To Haves

  • Certified public accountants strongly preferred
  • Oracle, advanced Excel experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.
  • Process back-to-back orders.
  • Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
  • Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.
  • Maintain general ledger by reviewing subsidiary accounts, prepare a trial balance, and reconcile entries.
  • Summarize financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other documents.
  • Review financial data to provide information needed for forecasting requirements.
  • Assist and complete external audit by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts and providing information for auditors.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations as well as FFI’s policies and procedures.
  • Avoid compliance challenges by following FFI’s compliance requirements
  • Protect organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
  • Train and mentor accountants on team
  • Must be able to prioritize, multitask and handle competing work assignments
