Please check out the residency definition to determine if you qualify. This position will be filled at either the 3 or 4 level, depending on the applicant's qualifications and job experience. In this role, you will oversee the federal grant reporting and financial analysis for core division programs. This includes federal accounting, recording, and reporting functions for the numerous federal grants and programs administered while ensuring compliance with state and federal reporting requirements, including the submission of federally mandated reports.

Requirements

  • Competencies in Analysis and Assessment: Uses information technology in accessing, collecting, analyzing, maintaining, and disseminating data and information.

  • Competencies in Principles of Accounting: Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, standards, and practices (for example, double entry accounting, accrual accounting), including the full accounting cycle and the preparation of work sheets, financial statements, ledgers, and journals.
  • Competencies in Technical Competence: Uses knowledge that is acquired through formal training or extensive on-the-job experience to perform one's job; works with, understands, and evaluates technical information related to the job; advises others on technical issues.
  • Competencies in Financial Analysis: Knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques of financial analysis, forecasting, and modeling to interpret quantitative and qualitative data; includes data modeling, earned value management, and evaluating key financial indicators, trends, and historical data.
  • Competencies in Reasoning: Identifies rules, principles, or relationships that explain facts, data, or other information; analyzes information and makes correct inferences or draws accurate conclusions.
  • Any combination of preparatory post-secondary education and/or progressively responsible professional level experience in accounting, budgeting, or financial management.
