About The Position

Regular Plains is an industry-leading transportation and midstream provider specializing in transportation, storage, processing and marketing solutions for crude oil. We own an extensive network of pipeline transportation, terminalling, storage and gathering assets in key oil producing basins and transportation corridors and at major market hubs in the United States and Canada. The company is headquartered in Houston, Texas. We’re on the lookout for passionate self‑starters who thrive in fast‑moving, collaborative, and innovative environments. This role is responsible for analyzing and reconciling joint venture operating expenses and various liability accounts, preparing monthly accruals and financial analyses, and supporting monthly and quarterly internal and external reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel skills and experience with copilot.
  • Ability to work independently within established guidelines and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience improving processes/leveraging AI tools.
  • Cleared criminal history (background) and satisfactory reference checks.
  • Compliance with the Company’s drug and alcohol policy including pre-employment D&A testing.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly accruals and other journal entries.
  • Reconcile various liability/operating expense accounts monthly.
  • Process wires and ACH payments.
  • Maintain various outside databases for vehicles and fuel cards.
  • Prepare deliverables for Federal Energy Regulatory Commission reporting on a quarterly basis.
  • Interact with field personnel to understand operating expense activity.
  • Prepare and analyze several monthly joint venture operating reporting packages.
  • Ability to understand key components of joint venture agreements and apply them to assigned tasks as needed.
  • Various other department projects, as needed.
