Experienced Accountant (Philippines)

As one of our Philippines based Experienced Accountant, you’ll work primarily with our Accounting Managers and our US and Philippines based team of accountants, assisting B Consulting clients with various accounting and business management activities. The Accountant will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions, preparing financial statements, and providing accurate data to support strategic decision-making while supporting the work of our Philippines based accounting team. In this role, you'll participate in multiple client projects and communicate with clients to support their requests while also supporting our Accounting Managers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Concentration in Accounting or Finance preferred
- 7+ years of applicable experience with US companies
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, accounting theory, principles, and practices
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, sum-if formulas, etc.)
- Strong communication skills
- Strong time management skills
Nice To Haves
- Public accounting experience a plus
- QuickBooks Online (certification preferred)
Responsibilities
- Perform a full cycle accounting close
- Produce timely and accurate monthly financial statements
- Review offshore team's work
- Participate in client calls
- Support preparation of client budgets
- Reconciliations and accrual journal entries
- Update financial models and cash forecasts with actuals
- Conduct accounting activities: Accounts Receivable (invoicing, collections), Accounts Payable (processing bills, set up vendors), Payroll reconciliation, Sales orders, Purchase orders, Inventory (landed costs)
- Implement and use various software solutions
- Demonstrate a strong accounting background and knowledge of US GAAP
- Assist with tax process and maintain compliance with government agencies (working with tax partners)
