About The Position

The accountant is primarily responsible for preparing various asset, liability, revenue, and expense reconciliations, posting other activities to the general ledger and account analysis. The accountant is also responsible for completing other tasks assigned to support the day-to-day operations of the Accounting Department. Provide general accounting support across the spectrum of accounting functions as directed with the aim of ensuring accounting activities and associated financial information is timely, accurate, and readily available to support key business decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• 5+ years of experience, with specific exposure to general ledger maintenance
• Must have knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
• Professional level experience with Excel to compile and present data
• Experience with Oracle software (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Reconcile multiple cash accounts
• Prepare journal entries, monitor and analyze general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy
• Reconcile and monitor various asset, liability, revenue, and expense accounts
• Assist with month end close procedures and reports
• Preparation of information and reports requested for annual audit
• Special projects as assigned by Management
• Maintain work instructions and procedures for all tasks
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities
• Complete other duties as assigned
• Provide and participate in cross-training as needed
