About The Position

Americold is seeking an Accountant to join their team. This role involves executing general ledger accounting processes, including preparing monthly journal entries and conducting balance sheet reconciliations. The Accountant will serve as a liaison between corporate headquarters and the field, collaborating with cross-functional groups to develop budgets and forecasts, and performing variance analyses. Additionally, the role requires executing key internal controls, assisting with audits, and supporting special projects such as accounting research and the integration of newly acquired facilities. Requirements

  • 1 year of Accounting experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
  • Thorough understanding of GAAP.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook required.
  • Experience with major ERP systems required.

  • Master's degree in Accounting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Execute general ledger accounting processes from end-to-end, including preparation of monthly journal entries.
  • Conduct reviews and reconciliations of monthly balance sheet accounts, with a focus on cash reconciliations.
  • Serve as liaison between corporate headquarters and geographically distributed assigned sites.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional groups to develop budgets and forecasts and perform variance analyses.
  • Analyze financial data and problem-solve related to assigned areas and accounts.
  • Execute key internal controls and support auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audit.
  • Assist with special projects such as accounting research and integration of newly acquired facilities.
  • Other essential duties may be applicable and assigned as necessary.
