About The Position

This position is responsible for performing a variety of accounting tasks. Responsibilities may include preparing reconciliations; analyzing financial transactions; and preparing journal entries.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• 1-3 years of related experience
• Equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations
• Knowledge of budgetary principles
• Knowledge of computers and related software
• Knowledge of methods of analyzing and preparing financial documents
• Knowledge of mathematical principles
• Knowledge of methods of preparing journal entries
• Skill in using computers and related software
• Skill in analyzing and preparing financial documents
• Skill in preparing journal entries
• Skill in reconciling accounts
• Skill in analyzing financial transactions
• Utilizing communication and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, and others sufficient to exchange or convey information.

• Refers exceptions to policy and procedures to the supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Receives, processes, and prepares various payments.
• Analyzes, verifies, and/or reconciles assigned accounts.
• Reviews and analyzes financial transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Maintains and reconciles various payments.
• Prepares journal entries; reviews entries for accuracy and completeness.
• Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
