About The Position

Moog Medical Devices Group specializes in designing, manufacturing, and distributing industry-leading enteral feeding and infusion pumps. Through substantial investment in research and development and leveraging our extensive expertise, we meticulously design and develop advanced infusion systems that enhance medication safety, optimize application performance, and effectively reduce medical expenses. We are looking for a Staff Accountant in an onsite or hybrid role in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum of three (3) years working experience in the areas of financial accounting, auditing, and/or financial reporting.
  • Knowledge of ERP business systems, internal controls, and US-GAAP.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Excel: maintaining and creating complex spreadsheets, performing complex functions, etc.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and ability to react to shifting priorities to meet business needs.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in healthcare, medical devices, life sciences, or other regulated industries
  • CPA preferred

Responsibilities

  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts at period end and prepare corresponding journal entries.
  • Perform analysis of various accounts and transactions to determine period-end accruals.
  • Analyze financial data and report on variances from budgeted and prior period amounts; provide management with insight and understanding of significant fluctuations.
  • Support the annual external audit by responding to auditor inquiries and providing supporting documentation.
  • Assist in the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing process, including financial statement preparation, reporting and review.
  • Support the preparation of the annual budget process.
  • Assist with the development, review, and updating of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Engage in cross-training initiatives to develop a comprehensive understanding of the company’s processes and financial operations.
  • Work on special projects and perform other ad hoc duties.
  • Responsibilities are dynamic and changing as Moog and its structure evolve.
